Joy Ann (Ball) Phillips, 85, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017, at St. Vincent Hospital. Joy was born December 25, 1931, in Evansville, IN. to the late Jack and Maxine (Williamson) Ball.
Joy retired in 1992 from The Girl Scouts of America, Raintree Council after 27 years. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Joy was a graduate of Benjamin Bosse High School class of 1949. Joy was an amazing, special, and selfless woman. Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed nothing more but spending time with them.
Joy is survived by her daughters, Debra Tremont and husband Mike of Mt. Vernon, IN, Kathie Henry and husband Dan of Martinsville, IN, Susan Craddock and husband Larry, and Jan Phillips, both of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Nicholas Tremont and wife Sandy, Benjamin Tremont and wife Stephanie, Katie Payne and husband Jeremy, and Mallory Baker and husband Ryan, Jennifer Whitis, Michael Henry and wife Fabiola and 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Jill Hagan and husband Steve; sister in laws, Linda Ball, Louise Ball; Furry Companion, Lizzie; and nieces and nephews.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Neil Phillips; brothers, Frank and Jay Ball; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Springston.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron, Evansville, IN 47714. Services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the funeral home with Rev. Don Gray officiating.
