Early Life: Janet was born January 18, 1939, in Heber, Utah, to James Lindsay Barnes and Clara LaPreal North Barnes, the seventh of nine children. She worked alongside her brothers and sisters in the family business and enjoyed that experience very much. She learned to drive truck and operate equipment.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: She married her sweetheart, Eugene Richard Rhoades, of Lakeview, Utah, settling in Orem, Utah, to raise a family. Richard and Janet had two boys and a girl: James Eugene, Roxie LuAnn and Kevin Richard. Janet carefully nurtured her family and reveled in the family outings to the mountains. Hunting and camping were always a priority but family, friends and neighbors in need were a higher priority. Janet was a bowler, seamstress, lunch lady and homemaker but her passion was quilting. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Janet LuAnn Barnes Rhoades, of Orem, Utah, died October 16, 2017. She was 78.

Survived By: Her three children, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
