She graduated from Aiken High School and attended Spartanburg Methodist College. She was a former Coach of the Orangeburg Prep boys' and girls' tennis teams. She was a member of her community Bible Study Group, Book Club and Bridge Group, and the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. She enjoyed traveling, especially taking beach trips to Charleston, painting, and spending time with her friends. She was always a very humble, selfless and kind lady who was passionate about her love for the Lord. She was devoted to her family and spent most of her time with her kids and grandkids.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters: Megan Harrison (John) of Columbia, SC and Tiffany Burckhalter Hunter of Orangeburg, SC; grandchildren: Andrew and Annabelle Hunter and Hayes and Evelyn Harrison; sister: Judy Weathers (Arden); brother: Duncan Holliday (Vivian) of Barnwell, SC; nieces: Melanie Calder (Robert), Cynthia Boswell (William) and Laura Weathers; nephews: Jason Holliday (Chrissy) and Phillip Holliday (Angela).
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Orangeburg, SC with The Very Reverend John B. Burwell officiating. The family will receive friends in the Parrish Hall following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, 1606 Russell Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115 or Grove Park Hospice, P. O. Box 701, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
