Jerilyn A. Scott, daughter of Earl and Marcella (Sheerhorn) Scott, was born December 16, 1951, in Luverne, Minnesota. She grew up and attended elementary school in Hardwick Minnesota. She graduated from Luverne High School with the class of 1969. On June 7, 1975 she married her high school sweetheart, Dale Kille, after hitting it off at the DMV. They moved early on and spent time in Arizona, Topeka, Kansas, and Fort Dodge, Iowa. Sons Jonathan and Jesse were born to their union. Jeri enjoyed working at her parents bar in Luverne called Scotty’s. Her favorite job was delivering flowers for Jubilee in Brandon, and she so enjoyed being able to put a smile on the faces of those receiving the flowers.
Hobbies included gardening both vegetables and flowers. She loved travelling with her mom to many places including Hawaii and Las Vegas to name a couple. She bowled league for many years at Eastway Bowl in Sioux Falls. Summers were spent on the golf course or pitching for her softball teams. Jeri was also an avid card player, loving Pinochle in particular. Number one in her life was her family and friends whom she always prided herself in maintaining active relationships with. You knew you were special to her because she was the Queen of sending birthday cards.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Jonathan of Sioux Falls, and Jesse (Amanda) Kille of Lead, SD; and brother-in-law, Jim (Connie) Kille of Rock Rapids, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale in 2007; and a brother Randy Scott.
