Marcella was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hardwick, where she belonged to LWML. She was a member of the Servicemen's Club and a charter member of the Hardwick Auxiliary. Beginning on their honeymoon, Marcella always enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, flower gardening, watching birds and feeding the neighborhood cats. In 1990, she joined the Travis Tritt fan club following the band’s stop at her bar. She enjoyed branding cattle and was proud of her bull, Super Cella. Following the death of her son, Randy, on August 16, 2003, Marcella kept his spirit living as she would go for motorcycle rides and dress the part.
What will be remembered most about Marcella, was her kindness to others and how she always lived life to the fullest and saw the best in everyone and everything.
