Emily's father was Thomas Parks Hudson, who was honored in June 2012 with the grand opening of the Hudson-Nash Farm Park located on the old Hudson homeplace on Five Forks Trickum Road, Lilburn, Gwinnett Co., GA.

The Hudson's old homeplace was on the Gwinnett County Historical Society's guided driving tour of historical homes in that area. The property is now the Hudson-Nash Farm Park, a park that was dedicated in June 2012 in honor and memory of the Hudson family. Much of the family history, especially, that of Emily's brother, George Baylis Hudson, is in the museum in Kennesaw, GA.
