Glenwood - Mr. Perry Pope, age 43, of Glenwood, died Wednesday, March 16, 2017 from injuries as a result of a tragic accident. He was a native of Wyoming and moved to Georgia in 1988. He worked as a logger, was a member of Pale Horse, and was Baptist by faith. He loved riding motorcycles, being with his family, and his dog named Mater. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tina Pope; father-in-law, Poogie Garrett; maternal grandparents, Joe and Hazel Delk; and paternal grandparents, W.R. and Tempie Pope.
Mr. Pope is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Kim Pope; one daughter, Mikel Pope both of Uvalda; two sisters, Lisa Lison and husband Jon of Rock Spring, Wyoming and Shea Klapel of Glenwood; his father, Manuel Pope and wife Bonnie of Green River, Wyoming; mother-in-law, Audrey Garrett of Uvalda; brother-in-law, Ken Garrett and wife Stephanie; sister-in-law, Kelly Kight all of Uvalda; nieces and nephews, Tyler Wyatt, Jennifer Lison, Brittany Wyatt, Jonci Lison, Steven Garrett, John Kight, Kelvin Kight, and Katie Garrett; several great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 22nd at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Ken Garrett officiating. A private burial will follow at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday afternoon from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
The family will be receiving friends as well at Audrey Garrett’s house at 504 1st South Street, Uvalda GA 30473.
