Betty Jo (Green) Ball, of Newport, passed away quietly in her sleep Monday, October 2, 2017.
Betty was born May 1, 1929 in Edwina, Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Lola Mae Green; husband, Venvert Ball; daughter, Sherry Buchanan; brother, Nick Green; and sisters, Alma Baxter and Evenlyn Hatley.
She is survived by her children, Karen (Randall) Bible of Bybee, Tammy (Brian) Garber, of Knoxville; son-in-law, Charles Buchanan of Rutledge; grandchildren include: Russel (Susan) Buchanan, Blake (Joni) Bible, Vanessa and Olivia Garber; great-grandchildren include: Harry and Georgi Buchanan and Nolan and Ian Bible. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth (Jl) Ford and Peggy (JC) Pack and brother, Bud Green.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 Pm Tuesday, October 3, 2017 followed by the funeral services at 7:00 pm in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Roy Dalton and Rev. Ned Ramsey will be conducting the services. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday October 4, 2017 at Resthaven Memorial Mausoleum. The family will meet at Manes Funeral Home at 10:30 am going in procession to Resthaven.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: Bybee United Methodist Church Meal Ministry, 1576 Highway 160, Bybee, TN 37713.
