Harriet Waxman, born in Akron February 12, 1946, passed September 26, 2017, at the age of 71 She was a resident of the Brookdale Senior Center in Fairlawn.
She started her career at Barberton High School in 1968 until she retired in 2010.
Harriet was the daughter of the late Morris and Minnie Waxman of Akron, Ohio. She is survived by her sister, Arlene Bass (Waxman) Ron Bass and their children: Laura Bass Rabe (Richard), Cindy Bass Placko (Rick), Jonathan Bass (Vanessa), Eric Bass (Bongkoj); sister of the late Alan Waxman (Val Castronovo); aunt of his daughter Olivia Waxman; sister of the late Barbara Waxman Miller (Michael); aunt of Olivia Waxman. She is survived by seven great nieces and nephews.
Harriet served Barberton High School in Barberton, Ohio, as a teacher, cheerleader coach, and assistant principal.
