S.A. Brabb
BUHL, April 23 - Stephen A. Brabb, 68, 820 Ninth avenue north, Buhl, died at 2:50 a.m. Thursday in Magic Valley Memorial hospital of a short illness.
He bas born April 7, 1896, at Wakeeney, Kans., coming to Twin Falls in 1912, and married Hazel Secord Oct. 6, 1915. They moved to Buhl in the early 1920's, then lived at Castleford from 1924 until they moved to Buhl in 1959.
While at Castleford he farmed and was rural mail carrier for 30 years. He retired in 1955. He served as Scoutmaster for several years at Castleford. He was a member of the Buhl First Baptist church, Buhl lodge No. 532 AF and AM and the Buhl Royal Arch Masons.
Surviving, besides his widow, are a son, Kenneth V. Brabb, Eugene, Ore.; five daughters Mrs. Virginia Williams, Eugene; Mrs. Mary Abshire, Blythe, Calif.; Mrs. Margaret Melton and Mrs. Della Holloway, both Filer, and Mrs. Ruth Todd, Twin Falls; two brothers, Clarence V. Brabb, Potlatch, and Leslie Brabb, Buhl; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Currington, Mrs. Lois Allen and Mrs. Bessie Gilmore, all Buhl, and 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Buhl First Baptist church by the Rev. Robert Burchell. Final rites will be held at Sunset Memorial park, Twin Falls.
