Jane A. Noel, 91, of McSherrystown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Hanover Hall Nursing Center. She was the wife of William C. “Moose” Noel who died October 30, 1992. Born December 16, 1925 in McSherrystown, she was the daughter of Ignatius M. and Jennie M. (Bair) Staub.

Jane was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in McSherrystown, and the National Council of Catholic Women. She was a 1944 graduate of Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown. She enjoyed walking with her sisters and spending time with her family and friends. She was the last of daddy’s people.

Surviving are three children, Peggy A. Little and husband William, William J. Noel and wife Rosemary, and Timothy F. Noel and wife Kelly all of Hanover; seven grandchildren; Jamie and Jody Little, Amy Loss, Jennifer Noel, Brittany Reeve, Zackery and Austin Noel and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by eleven siblings, Stephen, Vincent, Robert and William Staub, Anna Noel, Jeune Weller, Charlotte Shetter, Mary Louise Redding, Loretta Folmer, Sr. Vincent Mary Staub SSJ, and Angela McCleaf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Annunciation Church in McSherrystown, with Rev. Charles L. Persing as celebrant. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown
