Emma Jean James Stewart, 76, of the West Buffalo Community in Robbinsville, NC, Lord on Monday, September 25, 2017 at her residence. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Frank James, Sr. and Hollis Elizabeth Dockery James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Mitch Colvard and Mike Colvard; her grandson, Bart Crisp; and her sister, Christine Gregory.

Emma Jean was an avid piano player when she was younger and she loved growing flowers. She was a longtime member of the Robbinsville Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, her step daughters and son in law, her niece, her brother, and her sister. She has two granddaughters, and one great grandchild.

Burial at Carver Cemetery.
