A celebration of Susie Watt’s Life, age 65 of Jasper, will be 10:00 am Friday, September 29, 2017 at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2017, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at the funeral home.
Susie died September 26, 2017 at Christus St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Jasper, she was a Christ follower and a member of Harvest Church in Jasper, at the time of her death. She was a loving wife, mother, grand and great-grandmother who enjoyed keeping her family straight. She believed that if you don’t work, you don’t eat.
Susie is survived by her father, John T. McGlaun, of San Augustine; her husband of 47 years, Lucky Watts; her son, Thomas Warren Watts, and her daughter, Kym Watts Kilcrease & husband Brad, all of Jasper; her sister, Cathy Miller of Houston; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.
Susie was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel McGlaun and sisters, Becky Sue Johnston and Danna Jordan.
Services are under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home of Jasper, Texas.
