Paul Neely, 75, of 599 Woodland Street, Rich Creek, died Sunday, November 9, 1997 in the Westwood Health Care Center in Bluefield, Va. He was born at Willowton, W.Va. on January 28, 1922 and was the son the late William Jasper and Stella Inez Robertson Neely.

He was a graduate of the Glen Lyn High School, and was a retired shift engineer at the American Electric Power Company Plant at Glen Lyn. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the V.F.W. Post #6000 of Narrows. He was a member of the Woodland Street Baptist Church in Narrows.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Terrial Dwayne Thompson; two brothers, Tom Neely and Cecil Neely; and a very special mother-in-law, Ora Lambert.

e is survived by his wife, Agnes L. Neely; a daughter, Tammy Lindsey, Covington, Va.; a sister, Monta King, Mira Mar, Fla.; and foster daughter, Becky Spencer Pernesti, Ballard, W.Va.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchil.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 12, 1997 in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg, Va. with Tim Spencer, Minister officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #6000 of Narrows, the American Legion Post #68 and 311 of Giles County. Those who wish to express their sympathy to the family may do so at the residence in Rich Creek any time Tuesday. Friends may call at Riffe's Funeral Service in Narrows Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. The family has suggested that those who are going to send memorials, please consider the Ronald McDonald House, 1112 S.
