Junior Thomas Blackburn, 80, of Taylorsville, passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2017.


Mr. Blackburn was born February, 24, 1937 in Caldwell County to the late Roy and Ethel Murry Blackburn.


He served in the U.S. Navy.


Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Ann Allen Blackburn of the home, three daughters; Christine Blackburn, Teresa Blackburn both of Taylorsville and Debbie Jordan of Decatur, TN., granddaughter, Faith Ann Blackburn of Taylorsville, grandson, Caleb Asheton, Jr Blackburn of Taylorsville.


The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the chapel of Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 3:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Marvin Cemetery.
