Services to celebrate the life of Shirley J. White, 85, a resident of Davenport, will be noon on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main Street, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.
Shirley passed away peacefully Thursday, September 14, 2017, at St. Mary’s Nursing Home, Davenport.
Shirley Jean Seemann was born on January 27, 1932, in Davenport, the daughter of Emil and Hilda (Ketelsen) Seemann. Shirley was united in marriage to John P. White on September 20, 1952. He preceded her in death December 25, 1991.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
Survivors include her children, Catherine Sorensen, Davenport, Lisa (Richard) Kinnee, Largo, Florida, Sarah White, and David White, both of Davenport; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter, Diane; and three brothers, Bill, Ned and John Seemann.
