NEWPORT NEWS - Mrs. Grace D. Coltrane died Saturday, July 12, 1997. A native of High Point, N.C., she was a Peninsula resident for most of her life. Mrs. Coltrane was a member of Parkview Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Grace Coltrane; son, Chester G. Coltrane III; and three brothers, Horace, Gilmer and Kyle.

She is survived by her husband, Chester G. Coltrane Jr.; son, Dr. Ronald D. Coltrane, and his wife, Deborah; two sisters, Bernice Frazier and Golda Reynolds; one brother, Bill Davis; and four grandchildren, Douglas, Aaron, Anne and Heather.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Peninsula Funeral Home by the Rev. Lawrence Biermann and Dr. R. Furman Kenney. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today, July 14, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 900 Commonwealth Place, Suite 101, Virginia Beach, Va. 23464.
