Alameda Schwanz
Services for Mrs. Alameda Schwanz, 69, formerly of Nampa who died Tuesday in Tacoma, Wash., will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Nampa Friends Church. The Rev. Clare Willcuts will officiate. Interment will be in Kohlerlawn under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Schwanz was born Sept. 23, 1890, in Bangor, Iowa and was reared there and in Oklahoma. She was married Aug. 10, 1910, in Kiowa, Kan., to Arthur Schwanz. They lived in Oklahoma several years returning to Kiowa where Mr. Schwanz died in 1938. Mrs. Schwanz moved to Nampa in 1940. She was a member of the Nampa Friends Church.
Survivors include five sons, Clarence, Oceanside, Calif., Kermit, Mountain Home, Ark., Harry, Buhl, Orville, Portland, Ore., and Chris Schwanz, Robison, Kan.; three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Willig, Kiowa, Mrs. Pearl Yellen, Nampa and Mrs. Opal Whittaker, at whose home she died, Tacoma; one brother, Sidwell Dillon, Puyallup, Wash.; 26 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
