Note: No death or burial record has been found for Aaron. He was born in Haverhill, Mass. in 1685 and lived there through the baptism of his youngest child in 1727. He may have lived in a part of Haverhill that was ceded to New Hampshire in 1749, as an Aaron, Jr., his presumed son, was married in Plaistow, NH in 1749.

Aaron was the son of John Stevens and Mary Chase of Newbury and Haverhill, Mass.. He m. c. 1710 Mary HARRIS. An online account calls her Mary (Harris) Walter, b. 7 Nov 1689, d. 20 March 1745, said to be the widow of William Walter, and daughter of Richard Harris and Elizabeth Blackleach, but these supposed parents were from Connecticut, and I don't see the connection with the Essex Co., Mass. Stevens family. I have found no records for Aaron other than his birth record and the births or baptisms of his children in Haverhill. The vital record of Haverhill specifically names Mary Harriss as the mother of the first four children, and Mary (with no surname) as the mother of the remaining children. Children, born or baptized in Haverhill:

* Sarah, b. 21 Feb 1710/1

* Thomas, b. 20 Oct 1712, m. Prudence MERRILL in Haverhill then moved to Goffstown, NH.

* Elizabeth, b. 31 Oct 1716

* Nathaniel, b. 30 Sep 1718

The following children were all baptized on the same day, so the order of birth is unknown:

* Aaron, b. say 1720, bp 29 Jan 1726/7. He may be the Aaron Stevens, Jr. who was married in Plaistow, NH in Oct 1749 to Mary Simons.

* Elizabeth, b. say 1722, bp 29 Jan 1726/7

* John, b. say 1724, bp 29 Jan 1726/7

* Daniel, b. say 1726, bp 29 Jan 1726/7, and m. Hampstead, NH 21 Oct 1755 Meriell PATTEE, b. 17 Aug 1732, the daughter of Peter Pattee and Elizabeth Scribner of Haverhill, Mass. and Haverhill District, NH.

The following child was baptized five months after the previous four:

* Mary, b. 1727, bp 18 Jun 1727
