Edna June Pippin, age 75, of Warriormine, WV, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012, at her residence. She was a resident of Warriormine, WV the greater part of her life. She was a homemaker and an avid bingo player. She was known for her homemade cakes and candy, and also for her love of roses.

Born June 18, 1936 in Welch, WV, she was the daughter of the late Richard Oscar Bowling (1892-1953) and Edith Leona Denton-Bowling (1905-1970). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ival Lee Pippin (1923-1995) whom she married on December 10, 1955 in Excelsior, McDowell County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, McDowell County, WV, 1955, Page 234, Application Date: December 7, 1955); one son, Donald Lee Pippin (Deceased); two sisters, Alberta Jane Bowling-Green (1944-2001) and Virginia "Ginny" Bowling-Belcher (1940-Deceased); two brothers, Richard Douglas "Doug" Bowling (1929-Deceased) and Wilburn "Bill" Bowling (1931-Deceased); and two half sisters, Maggie Bowling-Keen (1917-1980) and Mabel Bowling-Halsey (1918-1977).

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Lynn Pippin (1958-2017) of Warriormine, WV, and Debra Pippin-Clark & husband Douglas Clark of Richlands, VA; one grandson, Steven Clark of Richlands, VA; three sisters, Winnie Mae Bowling-Workman-Evans (1935-2013) of Welch, WV, Lucille Anne "Granny" Bowling-Clark (1932-2013) of Princeton, WV, and Mary Bowling-Belcher (B. 1938) of Detroit, MI.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at Grandview Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Bluefield, VA with the Rev. Hobert Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens, Bluefield VA.
