Mr. Berg was born in Bremen December 28, 1905, the son of Edward and Matilda (Knoblock) Berg. He was married to Helen Sauer who survives with their daughter, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Casto of Columbus, Ohio, and two sons, Spencer, in service with the United States Army in Germany, and Edson, at home. A sister, Mrs. Welcome Huff of Bremen, survives also.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon, October 20, in St. John's Lutheran church at Marysville, Ohio. The body will be bought to Bremen Friday where it will lie in state in St. Paul's Lutheran church until 2:00 p.m. when prayer services will be held. Burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
