Sandra Kay Sigler, the daughter of Everett and Norma (Bell) Sigler was born August 7, 1945 at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey. She passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at the Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 72 years and 24 days.

Sandra was raised in Estherville, Iowa and Jackson, Minnesota. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1964 and attended vocational school in Jackson where she earned her Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) license. Shortly after graduation, the family moved to Red Oak. Over Sandra’s CNA career she worked in Red Oak, Shenandoah and for three years in Lexington, Kentucky, before moving back to Red Oak in 1999. She worked at Montgomery County Memorial Hospital retiring from the housekeeping department. Sandra loved being outdoors enjoying nature, and her cats and dogs that shared their lives with her over the years. She treasured her family and loved attending her nephews’ activities and events and so proud of her great-nephew. Sandra was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Red Oak.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents.

Sandra is survived by her sister, Pamela Peterson and husband, Marlin of Red Oak, IA; two nephews: Lucas Peterson and fiancé, Jessica Johnston of Orlando, FL; and Benjamin Peterson and wife, Ashley of Red Oak, IA; one great-nephew, Everett Peterson of Red Oak, IA; and uncle, Dale Bell and wife, Donna of Whittemore, IA; other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held
Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Faith Community Church, Red Oak
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak

Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M. at Faith Community Church.

Memorials may be directed to the Sandra Sigler Memorial for future designation.
