ORONO - Alan Henry Cameron, 81, died August 18, 2017. He was born April 28, 1936, in Brewer, a son of Harry V. and Florence E. (Dupuis) Cameron. Alan proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1964 as a SSGT. He liked to putter with electronics and could fix many things. He enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings. He liked to travel and enjoyed a trip to Europe and Germany to visit his wife's family. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and quiet man. He is survived by his wife, Johanna; son, Gary Cameron; stepchildren, Norbert Freund and Julie Leet, Bernd Freund and Kelly Dill, Wolfgang Freund and his wife, Lori, and Grace Baumgardner and Jessica Litwin; grandchildren, Jennifer Cameron, Dylan Cameron, Robert Cameron Jr.; stepgrandchildren, Heather Freund and Ronny O'Brien, Savannah Freund and Matt Knights, Sarah Cripps; great-stepgrandchildren, Mason and Maggie O'Brien; and two sisters. He was predeceased by son, Robert Cameron and daughter, Barbara Teal. Burial was at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
