Archie Lee Corkle, 83 of Notus, passed away on August 13, 2017. Archie was born January 4, 1934 in Seattle, Washington to Leo Benjamin and Della Fae (Ragsdale) Corkle.

Archie proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1952 to 1956. On April 20, 1957, he married Lucille Shirley Carter and this spring they celebrated their 60th anniversary.
Archie was a horse and gun enthusiast. He enjoyed horse shows and rodeos. Archie taught gun safety classes and was very proud of his students.

Archie is survived by his wife, Shirley Corkle; daughter, Bonnie Lee Corkle; sister, Alice (Donald) Bittick; brother-in-law, Robert (Sheri) Carter; sister-in-law, Nancy (Robert) Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Friday evening, August 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26th at Dakan Chapel with a reception to follow.

Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29th at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 26th at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. A viewing will be held Friday evening, August 25th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Dakan Funeral Chapel.
