Milton W. Purser, 63, of Groves passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
He was born on November 1, 1953 to his parents, Hilton Howard Purser and Aleissia Landry Purser in Port Arthur, Texas. Milton graduated from Port Neches- Groves High Schoolin 1973. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Milton worked at United Rentals as a shop foreman with the Beaumont-MLK yard for 17 years. He was affiliated with Friendship Baptist Church in Groves.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hilton Purser.
Milton is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Isam Purser of Groves, his daughter, Heather Doiron and husband, Ricky of Port Neches, his son, Derek Purser and wife, Stacy of League City, Texas, his mother, Aleissia Purser of Groves, his five grandchildren, Katelyn, Nicholas, Elaina , Samantha and Colton. He is also survived by his two sisters, Melissa Simon and husband, Thomas of Groves, Belinda Braquet and husband, Kyle of Willis, Texas, his brother, Mark Purser and his wife, Donna of Groves along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 5 PM till 8 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Milton’s life will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday in the Thompson Memorial Chapel at Clayton Thompon. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
