Jacob Lee Clum was born NE of Galesburg, Neosho County, KS in 1878. His father, Allen Clum, moved the family to a farm 5 miles East of Conway Springs in 1882. Lee, as he was called, grew up there, farmed, owned his own trucking company and married Myrtle Ethyl Black in 1900. They had 11 Children. Lee and Myrtle divorced in 1923. Lee lived on his 80 acres, farmed, bought and sold grain during the dust bowl days.
