Raymond Lee Clum was born 4 miles East and 1-1/2 miles south of Conway Springs, KS to Jacob Lee and Myrtle Ethyl Black Clum, one of 11 children. He grew to manhood in the Anson area and went to Anson Schools and to Wichita North Highschool for two years. He married Nina Maurine Davis in June of 1940. They had three sons, Larry, Mike and Alan. Lee worked his 80 acres and worked construction for Dondlinger and Law Construction companies in Wichita from 1953 to 1975. He sold the farm in 1969 and moved to Wichita where he lived in retirement until he died in 1993.
