Mary Elizabeth Mitchell Puckett, 93, widow of the late Cecil Puckett, died Friday August 18, 2017 at Bourbon Heights Nursing Home, Paris, KY.
She was born in Fleming County, KY to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Phillips Mitchell. She was member of the Paris Church of the Nazarene and the former owner of Puckett Small World day care, worked also at Pied Piper day care and Hansley Mills.
Survivors include three daughters, Lula Pearl (Glenn) Buckler, Mary Jane Linville and Edith "Cee Bo" Puckett; seven grandchildren, Kelly Rae Preston, Polly Ann Barcol, Kevin Glenn Buckler, Vivian St. John Earlywine, Cecil Francis Buckler, Kyle Robert St. John and Connie Elizabeth McWilliams; 18 great grandchildren; 28 foster children and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Louise, Edith and Aldie and one brother, Raymond.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday August 24, 2017 at the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY by Rev. Michael Clyburn and Kelly Barcol. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Wednesday August 23, 2017 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Cecil Buckler, Kevin Buckler, Kyle St. John, D.R. Preston, Alex Preston and Greg Earlywine. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
