Final Rites Set For Long-Time Tripp Resident

MESQUITE, Texas - Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Tripp Baptist Church, near here, for Mrs. Lillian M. Ragsdale, 83, resident of this Dallas County area for nearly 60 years.
Mrs. Ragsdale died Sunday at the home of her son, Onee Ragsdale, of 3203 Reynolds Street in Dallas.
Mrs. Ragsdale, a native of Alabama, moved to the Tripp community in 1898. A member of the Tripp Baptist Church, she is the widow of W. S. Ragsdale, a Tripp farmer and merchant, who died in 1948.
She is also survived by three daughters, Mrs. L. A. Creager of Odessa, Mrs. J. L. Jones and Mrs. O. H. Tyler, both of Dallas; five brothers, H. C. McCallum and F. J. McCallum, both of Mesquite; T. J. McCallum and Leon McCallum, both of Dallas, and Earlie McCallum of Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Blumer Wade of Dallas and Mrs. Ida Dunaway of Mesquite; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Joe Kelton, pastor of the Tripp Baptist Church, and the Rev. Fred Chunn will officiate at the Tuesday service. Burial will be in Long Creek Cemetery.
