Glenn L. Carlson, of Burdick, died Monday, August 14th, 2017, at the Herington Municipal Hospital. He was born March 14, 1947, at Herington, KS. He was the son of Harold R. and Vera (Meier) Carlson.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, August 19th, 2017, at the Hebron Lutheran Church of Burdick with Rev. Colleen Teeuwe, officiating. Musician for the service will be Gloria Martin. Serving as casket bearers will be Mike Stika, Alex Stika, Dan Peterson, Larry Peterson, Marvin Peterson, Ty Peterson, James Jost, Bryan Hysell, and the honorary casket bearers will be Vanessa Bronn, Micayla Stika, Jordan Carlson, Myranda Stika, Lauren Carlson, Mija Carlson, Aaron Stika, and Kaden Hutchison. Burial will follow at the Hebron Lutheran Cemetery of Burdick. Family will receive friends from 6:30-8:30pm, Friday, August 18th, 2017, at the Hebron Lutheran Church of Burdick.

He was a farmer/stockman. He graduated from Centre High School with the class of 1965 and had a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. He married Sandy Vinduska, on July 19, 1969, at Pilsen. They were the grand marshals of the Burdick Labor Day Celebration in 2016. He was currently serving as president of Burdick Council of Clubs, an active member of church council, FSA Board, Coop Board for thirty years, Burdick Bunch Relay for Life, a member of the chain gang for the football games, a volunteer fire fighter and fire chief. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing and coaching softball.

He is survived by his wife Sandy of the home in Burdick; two daughters Angelica Jo Stika (husband-Michael), Katherine Lynn Carlson both of Burdick; two sons Justin Carlson (wife-Lauri) of Council Grove and Andrew J. Carlson, Burdick (Ashley Hutchison of Kinsley); a sister Shirley Ann Parrish (Arthur) of Anchorage, AK; ten grandchildren Micayla, Alex, Myranda, and Aaron Stika, Vanessa and Josh Bronn, Jordan, Lauren, and Mija Carlson, Kaden Hutchison; and one great grandchild Lily Bronn.

The family requests memorials to the Hebron Lutheran Church of Burdick; and may be sent in care of the Zeiner Funeral Home-Herington Chapel, 404 S. Broadway, Herington, KS 67449-3038.
