ELLEN MAE PHEABUS, 84, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Monday, Aug. 14, 2017. Born Sunday, Jan. 1, 1933, in Antrim Township, Pa., she was the daughter of Edwin Theodore Bingaman and Lillian Dale (Kaetzel) Bingaman, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Pheabus, on Sept. 4, 2001.
She is survived by four daughters, Nancy Cross, Karen O’Neill, Sherry Shergy, and Patti Stine; two sons, Gregory Pheabus, and Charles Pheabus; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by six sisters and two brothers.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister.
Services were held at the Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Burial will be in Broadfording Church Cemetery, 13523 Broadfording Church Road, Hagerstown.
