Frederic Glenn "Freddie" Cheeney, a 78-yr-old resident of Princeton, died Saturday,, November 12, 2011 at the Grand River Health Center Facility Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, Nov 18, 2011 att the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Princeton, with Pastor Gary Watkins, officiating. Burial will be in the Princeton Cemetery.

Mr Cheeney was born in Princeton on February 6, 1933, the son of Austin and Flaud Axis Washburn Cheeney. He was a lifelong resident of Mercer Co., except for the past five months when he resided in Chillicothe. He and his sister, Georgia, were carriers of the St Joseph News-Press and Gazette in Princeton for 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques and "junk," smoking his pipe and tinkering.
In prior years, Mr Cheeney attended the Lighthouse Church , north of Princeton.
as a resident of Bristol Manor and Pearl's Residental Care of Princeton, he enjoyed attending all their church services, officiated by local pastors.
Mr Cheeney is survived by 14 neices and nephews, including Bill Cheeney and his wife, Rexanne, of Dawn, and Richard Cheeney, and his wife, Lee Ann of Meadville.; and by other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Noel, Franklin, Jed, Jimmy, and Lawrence Cheeney; and four sisters, Mary Ellen Alley, Louise Cheeney, Georgia Houk, and one infant sister.
