Sharon Kaye (Fisbeck) Chappell of Fairbury, Nebraska was born November 20th, 1938 at Helvey, Nebraska. She was the daughter of Otto & Bertha Fisbeck and grew up in Alexandria, NE and moved to Fairbury Ne in 1955 where she graduated high school in 1957. She entered into her eternal life Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 while living at the Heritage Care Center in Fairbury at the age of 78 years.

On September 16th, 1959 she married Ken Chappell and they lived in Fairbury, NE for a short time and then moved to Simi Valley, CA. Ken and Sharon lived there for eight years before settling in Fairbury NE in 1970. To this union, four children were born: Doug, Bob, Pam, and Kipp Chappell.

Sharon loved dancing, playing bingo, doing cross stitch, working with her flowers in the yard, playing board and nintendo games with her children and grandchildren, watching their many activities. She also loved going on walks, sitting on her screened in porch drinking coffee and watching the hummingbirds. Sharon was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Fairbury, Nebraska.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, brother Kenny and his wife Shirley, brother Dallas and his wife Norma, and brother-in-law Dale Starr.

She will be forever remembered by her husband Ken of Fairbury, son Doug and his wife Kelley Chappell of Fort Worth, TX, Son Bob Chappell of Kansas City, KS, Daughter Pam and her husband Roger Pollman of Fairbury, Son Kipp and his wife Anne Chappell of Fairbury. Her grandchildren Chais and his wife Maude Chappell of Fort Worth, TX, Dillon Chappell of Houston Tx, Cassidy Chappell of Fort Worth Tx, Trevor Meyer and Fiance’ Jen Richtarik of Fairbury, Trent and his wife Miranda Pollman of Lincoln, NE, Shelby Pollman, Sidney Pollman, Beckett Chappell, and Grady Chappell, sister Donna Starr of Fairbury, sister Carolyn (Francis) Fisher of Omaha, brother Bob (Leta) Fisbeck of Fairbury, sister Sandy (Jim) Milligan of Trent, TX, and brother Larry (Pam) Fisbeck of Blanchard, OK.

Services will be Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Fairbury with Pastor Ken Hart officiating. Memorials to the Family’s Choice. Burial will be at a later date. Gerdes-Meyer Funeral Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.
