Bud was born in Washington, IA on November 4, 1920, to Grant and Vera Earll.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Bud married to Fran Earll for 53 years before her passing.
He was employed as a cement truck driver for Neumann Brothers for 42 years and then worked part-time at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines for 10 years; Bud never shied away from hard work.
He enjoyed many summers at Clear Lake with his family. He was happiest when he was tinkering in his garage, spending time with family, or enjoying weekly visits from his grand-dog, Suzie Q.
Left to cherish his memory include his kids: Sheri Miller, Kris (Jim) McCaughey, Grant (Barb) Earll; grandchildren: Todd (Judi) Roland, Tootie (Ed Ryan) Exline, Jamie (Nick) Jorgensen; and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Fran; and his daughter, Terri.
Funeral Services are planned for 10 A.M., Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Merle Hay Funeral Home: 4400 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines. Visitation will take place from 5-7 P.M., Monday, August 7, 2017, also at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin and the staff at the VA Hospital for their kindness and service.
