James Marion Bierly, 87, of Morgantown, Ky., passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the Hospice House of Southern Ky., Bowling Green, Ky. He was born in Borden, In. on March 4, 1930 to the late Charles Otis and Ella Thomas Bierly. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, member of Roundhill Church of Christ and retired from the Pepsi Cola Company. He enjoyed hunting, farming, trading guns and hanging out at Lindsey's grocery with his friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wives Naomi Bierly & Diana Bierly; daughter Dianne Ervin; brothers Leo Hurst and Otis Bierly.

Mr. Bierly is survived by children James Allen Bierly of Morgantown, Fran Munk and Dexter Wilson both of Southern, In.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter; two brothers Theodore and John Bierly both of Indiana and one sister Jeannie of Florida; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Friday, August 4, 2017 at11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Lawson Embry Cemetery with Military Honors presented by the AM Vets Post 117. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 3:30-8pm and Friday 8am until time of service at Smith Funeral Home, Morgantown, Ky.
