Obituary: Evening News, Jeffersonville, Indiana, Tuesday, 5 April 1983, reads: Jeffersonville, Indiana, reads: Otis Bierly Services Set; Funeral services for Otis F. Bierly, 45, R. 2, Borden, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Daisy Hill United Methodist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. He died Sunday at University Hospital, Louisville, of injuries suffered in a traffic accident. He was a native of Clark County, a carpenter and farrier, and a member of New Providence Masonic Lodge and International Carpenters Union. Survivors include his wife, the former Celeste M. Emery; a daughter, Darita K. Bierly, Borden; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles O. Bierly, Borden; three brothers, James, Theodore and John Bierly, all of Borden; a half-brother, Leo Hurst, Borden; and a sister, Mrs. Jean Cooper, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home, Borden, after 7 p.m. today.
