She is the daughter of Edward and Maud (nee Davidson) Catlow; wife of Oliver Dahmer.
She is survived by three sons, Roger (wife Dolores) Dahmer of St. Louis, Arthur Dahmer of St. Louis and Oliver Wayne (wife Cathy) Dahmer of Ferguson; two daughters, Mrs. Connie (Larry) Roewe of Effingham, Illinois and Mrs. Carol (Richard) Hochdaffer of Sullivan; brother James Catlow of St. Louis and Edward (wife Opal) Catlow of Largo, Florida; grandmother of 24; great-grandmother of 48; great-great-grandmother of twelve.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son (Edward), one daughter (Dolores Whiteside), two brothers and four sisters.
She was a homemaker and babysitter for over 30 years. Dorothy had worked at many cookie factories over the years. She had also worked at the candy counter at Famous & Barr in St. Louis, Missouri.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Sullivan.
Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2003 at BAUER Funeral Home in Effingham. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Additional services will be held at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Friday, October 10, 2003. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel there.
Memorials to Hospice of Lincolnland or the library of the donor's choice. Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
