JANESVILLE - Ralph G. Aegerter, age 79, of 1537 Bunting Lane, died Sat., May 10, 1997, at the Evansville Manor. He was born in Janesville on Dec. 11, 1917, the son of Godfrey and Evelyn (Kettle) Aegerter. On May 4, 193, he married the fomer Frances Veeder in Rockford. Ralph was a veteran of World War II, having served with the Army. In his earlier years, he was a dispatcher and driver of the City Cab Co. of Janesville and then was employed by Burdick Corporation as a tool and die maker for many years, until retiring 20 years ago. Ralph was an avid muskie and walleye fisherman and enjoyed many seasons on Green Lake at Markesan, WI.
Surviving are his wife, Frances; his mother, Evelyn Aegerter of Janesville; 2 sons, Tom (Linda) Aegerter and Charles Aegerter, both of Janesville; a daughter, Judy (Mike) Gonzalez of Janesville; 12 grandhildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (the late Willard) Buehl of Janesville. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., May 14, 1997, at St. John's Lutheran Church, where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services at 1:00 p.m. The Rev. Jeff Wild will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, with military graveside rites by Klenow-Hill Post #1621. The Overton Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
