He was born in Washington County, the son of Henry E and Rachel Wantz Gladhill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda M Gladhill.
He had been employed by Western Maryland Railroad prior to his retirement.
He is survived by two daughter, Mrs Glenn Elliott, Hagerstown; and Mrs Evelyn May, Boonsboro; four sons, Howard Gladhill, Warren Gladhill and Robert Gladhill, all of Hagerstown; and Donnie Gladhill, California; a brother, Harvey Gladhill, Hagerstown; 19 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Services on Monday at 11 am from Rest Haven Funeral Chapel. The Rev W W Beale will officiate. Burial in Rest Haven Cemetery.
