Mrs. Margaret Zongrone Murphy, 74, of 707 Rutger St., died yesterday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center after a brief illness.


She was born in Utica, the daughter of Vincent and Maria Spatuzzi Zongrone and attended local schools.


She married Nicholas Albertine in Utica in 1918 , Mr. Albertine died in 1961. She married William Murphy in Utica in 1946. He died in 1973.

She has been a member of the East Utica Senior Citizens. The Forever Young Senior Citizens, and St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church.


She leaves a son Anthony Albertine, of Whitesboro, a daughter Mrs. Frank (Christine) Marino, of Utica; two brothers, John and Joseph Zongrone, both of Utica and two sisters , Mrs. Theresa LaBella, and Mrs. Louis ( Louise) Faga.


The funeral will be at 8:30 Saturday from the Scala Funeral Home and at 9 from St. Mary of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will be in St. Agnes Cemetery .

Calling hours are 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
