Mary Martha Curtis 79 of Winslow went to be with her Lord Wednesday July 26, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born March 4, 1938 in Princeton to Rev. Herschel and Jewel Pirkle Long. Mary Martha graduated from the Winslow High School in 1956. She married Kenneth L. Curtis on June 11, 1955 in Pike County. He preceded her in death July 2, 2017 . She attended the Grace General Baptist Church and was a member of the Winslow Lions Club, the Kiwanis Club. She was on the General Baptist Nursing Home Board. She was a Loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a model care giver having taken care of her son Todd who preceded her in death July 25, 2011. She is survived by her daughters Terenda (Dale) Wyant of Belleville, IL. , Trea McCandless of Petersburg, granddaughters Erin (Josh) Laurion of Fairview Ht.,IL. ,Chas (Paul) Brewster of Petersburg, Great Granddaughter Alice Jewel Laurion of Fairview Ht. IL., Great Grandsons Seth (Kerstain) Phillips of Oakland City ,Clay Phillips of Washington, Quentin Brewster of Petersburg, Great Great Granddaughters Vayda Myers, Kylie Phillips both of Oakland City, Great Great Grandson Jackson Phillips of Oakland City. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law Lawrence "Buster" McCandless , Great Great Granddaughter Abbey Phillips. Funeral Services will be Saturday July 29, 2017 2:30 P.M. at the Curtis Funeral Home in Winslow. Visitation will be Saturday 9:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M.at the funeral home . There will be a Lions Club Service at 2:00 P.M. All times are Pike County times. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Winslow. Curtis Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
