Mrs. Petro was a homemaker and a life resident of this area. She had once worked at the former Sites Laundry. She attended Free Methodist Church.
Surviving are Joseph Veach, with whom she made her home; five sisters, Helen (Mrs. Earl) Williams, Mary (Mrs. Al) Shoemaker, Pat (Mrs. James) Mullins, Nancy (Mrs. Gordon) Holsclaw, and Carol (Mrs. Charles) Ross, all of Lafayette; two brothers, Donald Caster of Lafayette and Robert Caster of Indianapolis; also 11 nieces and 11 nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Caster.
