Dorothy M. Caster Petro, 64, died at 6:30 PM Sunday, June 6, 1993, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She had been a patient at Heritage Healthcare since April 5. The daughter of the late Louis and Mabel Armstrong Caster, she was born in Lafayette on Nov. 19 1928. Her marriage was to Samuel Petro on Nov. 11, 1958, at Lafayette; he died Jan. 17, 1968.

Mrs. Petro was a homemaker and a life resident of this area. She had once worked at the former Sites Laundry. She attended Free Methodist Church.

Surviving are Joseph Veach, with whom she made her home; five sisters, Helen (Mrs. Earl) Williams, Mary (Mrs. Al) Shoemaker, Pat (Mrs. James) Mullins, Nancy (Mrs. Gordon) Holsclaw, and Carol (Mrs. Charles) Ross, all of Lafayette; two brothers, Donald Caster of Lafayette and Robert Caster of Indianapolis; also 11 nieces and 11 nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Caster.
