Donald L. Caster, 59, died at 5:39 AM Tuesday, Oct. 24, 1995, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center, where he had been hospitalized for a week. The son of the late Louis and Mabel Armstrong Caster, he was born Jan. 4, 1936, and had been a lifelong area resident.

He married Barbara A. Michalke on June 17, 1960, in Lafayette, and she died Nov. 5, 1984. His second marriage was to Patricia Paschall on July 31, 1995, in Lafayette, and she survives.

Mr. Caster was a custodian at Purdue Memorial Union for 32 years. He attended the New Life Foursquare Church, was a member of Moose Lodge 1529, and was an Army veteran.

Surviving with his wife are two sons, Donald C. Caster of Bloomington and Jeffrey Caster of Lafayette; two daughters, Brenda (Mrs. Lee) Gould of Lafayette and Melody (Mrs. Michael) Chenoweth of Forest; a brother, Robert Caster of Indianapolis; five sisters, Helen (Mrs. Earl) Williams, Mary Margaret (Mrs. Alfred) Shoemaker, Nancy (Mrs. Gordon) Holsclaw, Patricia (Mrs. James) Mullin, and Carol (Mrs. Butch) Ross, all of Lafayette; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy. Service Oct. 27, Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Howard L. Wright, Jr. officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
