She was born in Paterson, N.J., and was a Presbyterian.
Survivors include her husband, George N. Ambrose Jr.; a son, Gary N. Ambrose of Virginia Beach; a brother, Kenneth Miller of Onancock, Va.; a grandchild, Eleni of Virginia Beach; four nieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Rosewood Memorial Park by the Rev. R. Vance Smith. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters or the Virginia Beach SPCA.
