Floyd Scism, 64, of Wassaic, died Monday, September 28, after a long illness. Mr. Scism has worked on several farms in the Red Hook area until his retirement in 1961. He was a member of Christ Church, Red Hook.
Born March 30, 1917 in Red Hook, he was the son of Carroll and Alice DuBois Scism. Survivors include five brothers, Charles Scism of Red Hook, Walter Scism of Tivoli, Arthur Scism of Hudson, Edward Scism of Germantown, and Sterling Scism of Byron, Conn.; a sister, Sylvia Stickles of
Millerton; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Wednesday, September 30, at the Burnett and Rockefeller Funeral Home, Red Hook, with Rev. Fred C. Cartier officiating. Burial was in St. Paul's
Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.
