DRAKESBORO- Robert Lee Stover Sr., 75, of Drakesboro died Friday, July 14, 2017 at 9:35 PM. He was born in Alabama on June 24, 1942. Mr. Stover was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, retired coal miner, Fire Chief at Drakesboro Fire Dept for 28 years before his retirement, a member of the Hazel Creek Masonic Lodge, and veteran of the Army Reserves. He is preceded in death by his father, Adlie O'Neal; daughter, Donita Smith; brothers, O'Neal Stover, Harold C. Stover; sisters, Linda Swindle, Becky Santos.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Marie Hill Stover; son, Robert Lee (Lori) Stover, Jr. of Greenville; daughter, Charlene Renee Arnold of Beechmont; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; mother, Lucille Stover of Alabama; brother, Tommy (Vicki) Stover of Alabama; sisters, Pat Moore, Anita McCutchen, and Mary Decker, all of Alabama.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Rev. Ron Noffisnger officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Drakesboro. Visitation for Mr. Stover will be Monday, July 17, 2017 at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
