Edith Lucine Roush, 87, of Iola, Kansas, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at her home.

She was born Jan. 5, 1920, on a farm south of Moran, Kansas, the daughter of Harry Earl and Eunice Jeannette (Ransom) Troxel.

On July 13, 1940, she was married to William "Bill" Roush. He died Dec. 20, 2005.

She is survived by six sons, Robert E., Seattle, WA, Elmer L., Chanute, KS, Daniel L. and Carl R., Gas, KS, George A., Carlton, MO, and William F. Jr., Iola, KS; three daughters, Edna M. Pruitt, Tacoma, WA, and Susan C. Harrison and Karen A. Roush, Iola, KS; two brothers, Harold R. Troxel, Portland, OR, and Charles "Chuck" Troxel, Iola, KS; a sister, Hazel Laver, Humboldt, KS; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

An infant son, David L., two granddaughters, Samantha and Dawn Roush, four brothers, Arthur R., Floyd "Pete," Donald L. and Wilferd P. Troxel, and a sister, Ruby Cochran, died earlier.

Burial will be Mar. 3, 2007 in La Harpe Cemetery, La Harpe, KS.
