Mrs. Vernie P. Beason
Mrs. Vernie Powers Beason of Cleveland, 71, wife of Frank Beason, died Thursday a 5:30 a.m. at the Bolivar County Hospital following a long illness. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Fletcher Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Aultman of Calvary Baptist Church officiating. Interment wIll follow in the Delta Heights Memorial Garden. Fleatcher Funeral Home of Cleveland is in charge. Born in Paris, Tx. She attended school there. She and Frank Beason were married in 1929, and had lived in Kentucky and Indiana prior to coming to Pine Bluff, Ark. 20 years ago. Due to her illness, they moved to Cleveland nine months ago to be with her sisters-in-laws. She was a Baptist. Survivors are her husband, Frank Beason of Cleveland; five sons, Frank Beason Jr. of Chicago, Robert Beason of Painesville, Ohio, Gene Beason of Hammond, Ind., Richard Beason of Point Mugu, Calif. and Joe Beason of Morgan City, La. ; three daughters Mrs. Katie Lyons of Elwood, Ind., Mrs Sarah Tibbs and Mrs Vernie D Robertson both of Carmel, Ind.' Three sisters Mrs Elizabeth Martin of Powderly, Tx., Mrs Ruby Swilling of Dallas, Tx.; and Miss Gladys Powers of Paris, Tx.; a brother, Odis Powers of Paris, Tx.; and 12 grandchildren
