Vera Sue (Byrum) Roach, age 86, of Russellville, passed away on July 3, 2017, at Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home.

She went home to our Lord and to have the best piece of cherry pie ever with her dear husband, Arvil Lee Roach.

She was born on January 17, 1931, during the Great Depression to William and Minnie Byrum in Caglesville.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Lee Roach; five brothers, Coleman, Ellis, JM, Clifton and Floyd Byrum; and three sisters, Myrtle Duvall, Dora Byrum, and Orene Byrum.

The 31 family members she left behind will remember her fondly. She showered all of us with her love, kindness, and faith in God.

Her family include son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Marian Roach of Marietta, Georgia; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Gilbert Duvall of Russellville, Gayla Owens of Russellville, and Evanna and Frank Eckart of Paris. Her 11 grandchildren were her pride and joy and they include Scott Duvall, Dan Owens, Farrah Beldin and Brent Duvall, all of Russellville, Jessica Lewis of Greenwood, Adrian Roach Corcoran of London, England, Chris Roach of Marietta, Georgia, Allison Roach of Miami, Florida, Nick Eckart of Paris, Natalie Thomas and Madeline Eckart of Fayetteville. Her grandkids in turn gave her 16 great-grandchildren who are still running around her house, letting out the air conditioning, causing mischief and laughter.

The funeral service will be at 10.00 a.m., Friday, July 7, 2017, at Happy Valley Assembly of God with the Rev. Earl Helton officiating.

Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery, north of Atkins and under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
