Tom Simpson Buried - The Remains Were Interred in Potter's Field – No Word Received from Dead Man's Relatives.

The funeral of the deceased United States Prisoner, Tom Simpson, who died Friday morning at an early hour, was held Saturday morning at 10:00 o'clock from the Taliaferro Undertaking establishment, where the body had been lying since death occurred.

All efforts on the part of Jailer Niblack to communicate with the parents of the deceased, who are said to reside at Weatherford, Okla., were without avail and the remains were buried in the Potter's field at the expense of the government.

Rev. Sims, pastor of the Methodist church, said the simple service of church over the remains at the undertaking establishment. It was a sad party who accompanied the remains to the grave. Simpson's wife and his brother, and Chief of Police Buck Garrett and Policeman Boucher being the only ones present.
